Meet Your Therapist

ChiChi Nwizu-Brady, LCSW, CACII

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor

Why I Started Motivated Path Counseling

As a therapist and a fellow human, I know how difficult it can be to carry pain silently—especially when the world around you doesn’t always make space for your full story. Over the years, I’ve sat with individuals from all walks of life who were navigating not just personal challenges, but also the weight of cultural expectations, generational trauma, systemic oppression, and the quiet ache of feeling unseen.

I created Motivated Path Counseling to be the kind of space I wish more people had access to: one where your identity is honored, your resilience is recognized, and your healing is guided with both compassion and expertise. As a licensed clinical social worker and certified addictions counselor with over a decade of experience, I’ve walked alongside clients facing anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, and complex relationship dynamics. But more than anything, I’ve seen the power of feeling truly understood—and how that alone can begin to shift everything.

My work is deeply rooted in cultural responsiveness, empowerment, and the belief that you already hold the seeds of your own healing. My role is to help you cultivate them—with curiosity, with care, and with tools that actually make sense for your life.

This practice is more than a profession to me—it’s a calling. I’m honored to do this work, and even more honored to walk with you on your path forward.

Work Experience & Credentials

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University, and a Master of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Georgia and Iowa, and a Level II Certified Addictions Counselor in the state of Georgia.

My clinical background includes work in community-based programs for children and families, outpatient mental health, transitional support programs for individuals reentering from federal prison, and opioid treatment clinics. These diverse experiences have shaped a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach to care that honors each client’s unique path to healing.
